Combine Quiet Company with Erin Ivey in a cool venue like the Spiderhouse Ballroom with 250+ music lovers and an open bar and what do you get? A great way to publicly launch Black Fret to Austin. Add in an Austin music mix from Mixer Rogers between sets and the Rocketboys, Gina Chavez, Meganaut and and a passel of other Austin musicians in the audience and the tone was set for a great night. Matt and Colin introduced the crowd to Black Fret and threw out a challenge: that with only 100 members joining in 2013 Black Fret could give ten $10,000 grants to Austin’s musicians in 2014.
