Jen DaltonJen Dalton joins the Black Fret Advisory Board with over 16 years of experience in radio and records. A University of Oregon graduate with a dual degree in Communications and Business Marketing, Jen began promoting and producing on-campus concerts, festivals, events and keynote speeches for the University’s Cultural Forum. Upon graduation she moved back to Portland, OR where she began her wild ride in radio. Over the next 6 years she worked as a Promotion Director, Events Director, Marketing Director and Music Director at KNRK/Portland, OR (Alternative), KKRZ/Portland, OR (Pop) and KUBE/Seattle, WA (Rhythm). In 2005 she took the leap from the radio side of the business to the label side, accepting the position of Mountain Region Promotion Manager for Epic Records (Sony) based in Denver, CO. She continued her growth in label promotion and moved to Austin in 2009 with JIVE/RCA Records (Sony), focusing on the SW Region.

Jen was last with Concord Music Group – continuing to promote artists to radio with a focus on Alternative, AAA and Active Rock projects in the SW/Mountain Region. While Jen has worked with the ever-successful likes of Incubus, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, Ozzy Osbourne, Justin Timberlake, Usher, P!NK, Kings of Leon, Three Days Grace, Pitbull, and Foo Fighters, she has also aided in breaking new talent. She played an integral part in launching the careers of The Fray, Sarah Bareilles, Chevelle, G-Eazy, A$AP Rocky, Bleachers, Elle King, Nothing But Thieves, Cage The Elephant, Kid Ink, Walk The Moon and more. After 7 years here, she considers Austin home, and enjoys giving back to the community as much as her free time allows. She currently also volunteers as an Adoption Coordinator & Foster for Austin Dog Rescue, is a member of The Junior League of Austin and is thrilled to add Black Fret to her volunteer repertoire. She sees the tremendous value in giving back locally.
